My house is currently filled with the delicious aroma of melted grilled cheese on toast and I can’t believe it! This is just not something that I thought would be possible living as a vegan in Japan!
It’s the perfect winter treat too; although I’d be happy to eat this anytime of the year!! And today is literally the best day to be having this as it’s currently -4 °C outside where I live.
I used my stretchy mochi cheese recipe and toasted it on some bread in my toaster oven (under a grill would also work) and it turned out beautifully. Slightly crispy & golden brown on top and soft & gooey on the inside. YUM! I’m sorry, but you are going to find it difficult to stop at one!
Vegan Grilled Cheese on Toast
- Toaster oven or grill
- 1/4 cup stretchy mochi cheese link to my recipe below
- 2 pieces bread
- Apply a generous layer of my stretchy mochi cheese recipe on top of two pieces of bread
- Place in toaster oven or grill for 3-4 minutes or until golden brownServe immediately!
